There’s a lot of local fashion on the national airwaves lately. In the last week, National Public Radio turned its mics west for two features on the LA fashion industry.
On May 24, there was a story on the response to the European Union’s gut-wrenching tax hike on US jeans makers. AG Jeans’ Samuel Ku (pictured above in Amanda Marsalis’ photo from the NPR site) is interviewed, as is California Fashion Association’s Ilse Metchek.
Ilse was on NPR again on May 27 in a story that covered the impact of immigration reformon the Los Angeles industry.
